org.eclipse.jgit.lib.Repository.peel()
Peel a possibly unpeeled reference to an annotated tag.
If the ref cannot be peeled (as it does not refer to an annotated tag) the peeled id stays null, but {@link Ref#isPeeled()} will be true. @param ref The ref to peel @return ref if ref.isPeeled() is true; else anew Ref object representing the same data as Ref, but isPeeled() will be true and getPeeledObjectId will contain the peeled object (or null).

Peel back annotated tags until a non-tag object is found. @param obj the starting object. @return If {@code obj} is not an annotated tag, {@code obj}. Thereturned object's headers have been parsed. @throws MissingObjectException a referenced object cannot be found. @throws IOException a pack file or loose object could not be read.
